I Wore PERFUME and This is What Happened

This is probably the most unexpected thing to come from a music blog.  But I can explain, this actually has some context to it.

So I celebrated my birthday a month ago (July), so I went on a shopping spree, and I decided to buy some new perfumes.  I already had a perfume brand that I was wearing (Clinique Happy, might review if this post goes well.), but I’ve been wearing it for quite a while now so I figured it would be time for a change.  I did buy Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works perfumes before, but the Victoria one gave me an allergic reaction, and the BABW one was discontinued shortly after I ran out.  Before I begin the review, I just wanna say that if anyone is reading and is interested in it, I bought them from Macy’s (Not sponsored).  Disclaimer I haven’t been to any other department stores to check out perfumes (I’ve only ever examined Bloomingdale’s a few times), so if you find these out at your local mall department store, feel free to check them out.

This brand of perfume is Vince Camuto, and I bought their 3 piece sample set.  The perfumes that come in the set are amore, bella, and wonderbloom   They look like this:

Since this is a review blog, I will be reviewing each perfume from least liked, to most liked.  Here's the color coating:

Least Favorite, Good, Favorite.

And now... the review!

3. bella

I've only worn this one once, and I don't have any intentions to wear it anytime this week.  Now, to set the record straight, the perfume has been described as "a fruity floral fragrance."  In my opinion, it was pretty floral, but overall not really fruity.  In fact, it even smelled a bit like a cologne, so if any of the fellas reading this want a perfume pass, this is for you.  Speaking of the scent, this one smelled incredibly weak.  When I did my first sample spray at the mall, I figured it smelled good, however maybe I was really smelling another perfume at the mall.  When I did my sample spray at home, I had to lean in very close to my sink (yes, I know most of us use paper, but I don't want the smell to stain any of the towels or blankets I use) to get a whiff of it.  Overall, if you want the scent to last on you, you may need about 3-5 sprays, plus one on the neck.  You also may wanna bring this one to go if you want that enhanced scent  However, I did read online that the sample pack does smell differently then the actual bottle (The difference is an enhanced orange smell), but I haven't bought the bottle itself yet.   I recommend this one to be an everyday perfume you can wear to school (if they allow it of course) or work because of how faint it is.

2. wonderbloom

This is the only one of the three perfumes that I have worn twice.  Described as a "fruity and bubbly perfume with the force of nature," I definitely agree with the bubbly part.  As I was reading the different scents this contained, I was shocked to learn that this has the blends of pears and almonds, which I believe make a wonderful pare.  Unlike bella, this one has a more feminine appeal to it (sorry fellas), but this one also has a soft scent to it.  However, soft also can mean strong.  When I did my test sprays at the mall, I was able to smell this one good.  At home, I can stand by the sink to smell it, though it did take a couple seconds to come through.  I recommend you do 2-4 sprays on you if you want this to last, plus one on the neck if you feel extra. Do be aware that if you do that your nose may get itchy.  I realized if you put it on, throughout the day it gets weaker, so maybe bring it along if you want that strong smell.  When I was reading online, users had the exact same opinion on what I thought of it, and they prefer to wear it on daily outings, which I highly agree with.

Last but not least we have:

1. amore

Yes!  Although it was my favorite, I have only worn this once, but I do have a pretty good reason to.  Described as "fresh, clean, and fruity," this one smells like CANDY to me.  This was also the one that got me to buy the set, and that's because this is my DREAM PERFUME (girlranting#001).  This one is also very sweet (not surprising since I did say it smells like candy), and out of the three of them smells the most like a floral based odor.  Like wonderbloom, this one also has a (very) feminine appeal to it, so this one is DEFINETLY not for the guys, but you can give this one to your girl for Valentine's Day.  I do want to say that this one is VERY strong (I do like me a strong perfume).  As I was doing my sprays at the mall, this one smelled up that portion of the mall for a little bit.  However, as I was doing my sprays at home, I was able to smell it a few feet away from the sink.  I would recommend 1-2 (maybe 3) sprays, plus if you want everyone to notice your scent, put some on the neck, though it may not be necessary since this one holds you up pretty good.  Depending on the number of sprays you put on, you may sneeze a bit (I know I did).  This one should stay at home as you go out since this one lasts a long while.  The internet didn't agree with me saying it smelled like candy, but they did think it was pretty sweet.  In fact, they said that this is one of the most feminine perfumes they've smelled.  While I was reading, people recommended to wear it at night time for a romantic date because of the strength.  Though, it is a good perfume for date night, I actually wore it for a birthday lunch with family and it fit the mood pretty good, so I recommend you start wearing it in the afternoon and nigh time hours.  I will also be wearing this out on special occasions, and this will be the perfume I will restock on once I finish the bottle set.

Final thoughts:

Overall, this was an amazing choice for a sample set.  I was highly satisficed with the fragrances it came with.  If you want to experiment with stronger smelling perfumes, this set is for you.  I highly recommend this!

One more thing before I go is that I want to apologize to those who clicked this thinking it was going to be a new music blog.  I am currently editing my countdown ketchup post, and that should be out by the end of the day.  I will begin working on the upcoming countdown/hitbound/pulse chart review on Sunday, since I will be down at the beach on Saturday.  Thank you for reading, and I hope you stay tuned for more if you liked my blog.  Also let me know if I should review the other perfume I have (Clinique Happy).  Have a great day, and I'll see you next time!
